Enrichment & Community Opportunities
College is about more than just qualifications. As well as benefiting from high-quality teaching, students can take part in a growing range of enrichment activities, leadership opportunities, trips and events. Our aim is for every student to leave Kimberley Sixth Form College not only with excellent academic foundations, but also with new experiences, greater confidence and skills that will support their future success.

They run after college on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are designed to support students in their subject; offer support for progression including preparing students for early entry qualifications or preadmissions assessment; help them prepare for degree apprenticeships; enable them to join student led clubs and societies or participate in competitions, event and programmes run by national and local providers.
Sport
We have many opportunities for students to get involved in extra-curricular sport, we enter teams in girls & boys football, girls netball, boys basketball and cross country competitions. Additionally, we offer a range of recreational sport opportunities such as volleyball, badminton, table tennis and interform competitions.

Our experienced staff team lead our students to practice and gain the Gold Award. This is open from Year 12 and students cover Volunteering, Physical, Skills sections as well as a practice and qualifying walking Expedition in Year 13.
Students also plan for and complete a residential activity in the summer after Year 12. We have lots of students who take part and absolutely love it!

Trips and Visits
In addition to our Geography field trips which are part of the A Level course, we run a number of other events.
These include trips to the theatre, subject linked trips for example poetry and art trips to local places. Careers events and trips to universities. As well as other visits such as our annual trip to Alton Towers.
Guest Speakers
Our students benefit from a programme of guest speakers who bring their subjects to life by sharing real-world experiences, industry knowledge and career insights.
These inspiring sessions help students broaden their horizons, explore future opportunities and gain a deeper understanding of where their studies can take them.
