Home Financial Support

Financial Support

We recognise that the costs associated with attending college can be significant, and financial support may be available through our 16–19 Bursary Fund.

There are three levels of bursary support – Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 – depending on household income and individual circumstances.

Students can receive one level of bursary at any one time and, where they meet the criteria for more than one level, we will award the highest level for which they are eligible. The bursary can help with costs directly associated with attending college, including transport, books, stationery, equipment, educational trips and meals purchased from the college coffee shop or canteen.

Further information about the eligibility criteria and the support available at each level can be found via the buttons below.

Applying for a Bursary

We encourage eligible students to submit their application by Friday 25 September 2026, so that support can be put in place as early as possible.

Where the bursary is used to reimburse eligible expenditure, students will need to retain receipts and submit claims each half-term. Further guidance on how to make a claim will be provided to successful applicants.

If you think you may be eligible, we strongly encourage you to apply. If you are unsure whether you qualify, please contact bursary@wootton.beds.sch.uk and we will be happy to advise.
